I spent a couple of hours at The Red Cup using their wireless. The coffee was great and the staff was friendly (with the exception of one who was tired and didn't get that you don't complain about how slowly the time is passing while you have people at the counter). Customers appreciated the self serve ice water. Comfortable sofa a plus. Great little place near the harbor and in the midst of lots of unique shops.

Excellent panini on sourdough bread and breakfast cookies, along with a big-city cappuccino served in a huge ceramic cup. Nice and warm location downtown. Ordinarily this coffeehouse would merit five stars but it loses a star for the hours they are open, which are weeny hours except on Saturday.

We have much better coffee joints at home. I got the cappuccino which was so so dark but I wasn't asked what kind of coffee I wanted with it so I just rolled with the punches. The husband got hot chocolate which he said was just okay and we shared the breakfast pizza which was so obviously premade and then nuked in the microwave. Disappointing ;(

Great espresso, the best coffee we found in Boothbay by a mile. Fantastic blueberry bar. Excellently soft bagels. Tasty breakfast sandwich (egg cheese bacon panini). Toddler factor: They have a high chair! Not a huge place so there are only a few tables with room for it - but it exists. And they have a play area with lots of toys ... the boy LOVED it here.

Delicious quick hot cup of coffee, just what is needed on a cold rainy day in Maine thank you

I was skeptical about the Red Cup, but it delivered great coffee, good service and decent prices. Like most small town coffee shops you must spend a minimum of $5 to pay with a credit/debit card.

This is a very casual, family friendly cafe that was pretty busy at lunch time when we arrived shortly after noon. We shared a diet coke and curry chicken salad wrap that featured fresh ingredients. One nice touch for families is the play area set aside for young children.

I've been coming to Boothbay a couple times a year my entire life. Apparently I missed this gem the past 2 years though, but after stopping in twice in one hour this afternoon, I've decided that I love it. Cozy, cute, clean and very friendly. From one restaurant industry person to another I thought it was very well stylized and had a solid, hip yet humble identity and vibe and I just adored it. Little stage inside as well for acoustic sets (yay!) Coffees and specialty drinks were awesome, blueberry coconut almond bread was delish. Really cool spot and a great addition to the very loved, however limited harbor loop. Please stay forever, red cup. You're my new favorite Boothbay spot. ***Driving back to Gloucester, MA now stuck in mega traffic. Took that blueberry cake for the ride..best.traffic.ever.***

Love the vibe of this little coffee shop with organic oatmeal and local organic eggs. Awesome little spot for kids to play, only downer...why oh WHY must you microwave the eggs?! Go to the trouble of serving local organic and then nuking them in the microwave instead of taking the extra 2 mins to grill them seems weird. Fun spot nonetheless.

Came here with family looking for a quick bite to eat. We were pleasantly surprised how great the food ended up being! The staff was so friendly and gave us suggestions and other food options when we were debating what to order. I ended up getting a grilled cheese and I was able to get some extra veggies loaded inside! Delicious! It was quite small, however, so I wouldn't recommend visiting if you have a large party.

Came here for music and coffee and it was great! Got a delish vanilla espresso on one night and a salted caramel iced drink on another. Both were delicious. Loved the band they had, was a fun way to chill after a long afternoon!

We had great service until our drinks were ready. A direct Thank you to the barista was pointedly ignored. Height of tourist season but it wasn't very busy and no obvious reason for lack of acknowledgment. Cake (cut) and pastries left out on low counter (next to register) where easily touched by children and breathed on by customers. A bit unsanitary and a lot gross. No way I was buying any. Ordered a mocha latte and there was so little mocha it was really a latte. Disappointing as it is a cute little spot in town.

The Best, even if only the ONLY quality coffeehouse in the region! Nice staff, too, but that's secondary to the brew. :)

A sweet cafe with amazing attention to a great cup of espresso. Traveling here from Oregon, where espresso runs like a river, I was very happy to find a spot where I can trust the barista to do it right. And free wifi!

Iced latte: not a fan - tasted burnt and watery. Cafe does have a nice atmosphere though.

Cool casual coffee The Red Cup Coffeehouse is a pleasant little place to get some coffee, breakfast or perhaps even a light lunch. It has a very mellow and pleasant interior with different types of chairs, stools and tables sort of placed around at random. There even are a couple of tables outside on the sidewalk so you can get in the way of people trying to walk by. You go up and order, loiter around a bit, and then get your food and find a place to sit. You can read one of the various local newspapers or magazine that are lying around or just watch the people go by. The coffee is great and the food is exceptionally good. There is a little area with some toys for kids and a tiny stage where I assume they have live music at certain times. A very homey, cozy and quaint place that has good food at reasonable prices and a wonderful and friendly atmosphere. Far, far better and more interesting than any of the usual chain coffee and breakfast places.

Such a gem! Excellent location! Is it the barista crew, Paul, product or what combo that made me believe that I was in an urban oasis? Pastries are home made and I'd suggest the breakfast cookie with flax seed, nuts, raisins as you grab it early (they open at 8) before heading across the street to the Harbor Piers for a water adventure. I spent 12 day in BBH and at least once a day I ventured into "my RCC" for respite and espresso-based rejuvenation. I made sure that before I departed BBH that I told Paul the employees are his financial investment/assets because without this distinct eclectic mix something would be amiss in the atmosphere. The red metal tables/chairs on the street, the free WiFi, the comfortable interior (both furniture and color scheme) and the live music make this small family town an urban dream for someone that travels the world I appreciated this more than anyone at RCC could realize. DRAWBACK: I will advise that the evening closing times were my yucky dislike. Pay attention to the closing hours - they do differ some nights. Get to know your barista crew because each one will add to your travel journey and explore the baked goods! I am laughing as I key this because my 6 - 8 shots of espresso became the running joke I think! Mark Add more pics below - in the pics include barista crew members and close ups of the baked goods...oh and some homemade blueberry syrup!

Excellent cafe. We went in for lunch and they had a great selection of sandwiches. The coffees we ordered were very good, too.
